  • ABOUT THE PLANT

Davana essential oil is distilled from a small aromatic herbaceous plant native to southern India. The plant is a member of the Daisy family, growing to 40 centimeters in height, with blue-green leaves and small yellow flowers. Interestingly, it grows near sandalwood trees, another of India's prized aromatic essential oil sources. The plant grows in the same parts of southern India where sandalwood is grown

    ABOUT THE OIL

This is an exceptional quality Davana essential oil steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of the herb grown in India. We have sampled several varieties of this oil, and found this distillation to be, by far, the nicest. Davana is used primarily in natural perfumery and body and skin care preparations for its sweet and fruity fragrance. It is said to aid in enhancing skin health, help heal wounds, calm anger and promote relaxation. It is also said to have a unique property of smelling different on each person's skin. This very lovely variety is very highly recommended!

obtained by steam distillation of the overground parts of the flowering her, Artemisia pallens.
